Lead climbing clinic

This clinic is designed to introduce the basics aspects of lead climbing, focusing on skills acquisition in an indoor setting.

Climbers should be comfortable climbing multiple routes at a 5.9 difficulty level.

Class size is currently limited.

Clinic format
Day 1:
• Rope management - flaking and stacking
• Tying in properly
• Clipping lead protection and anchors
• Universal belay technique - PBUS
• Belaying & lowering with a tube device

Day 2:
• Lead belaying with a tube device
• Bringing it all together
• Practicing taking and catching lead falls
