Lead climbing test

Signups require two people; you must bring your own rope and belay device.

Lead climbers will be required to exhibit proficiency at the following skills under the direct supervision of a Rocks and Ropes staff member:

- 5.9 lead climbing ability
- Safe rope management skills as both climber and belayer
- Proper, efficient clipping technique
- The ability to safely catch a lead fall
- The ability to fall safely
